Rivers have been flowing on the planet for billions of years, with the history of many civilizations and empires on the banks of many rivers. In this article, we have listed the names of the top 10 longest rivers in the world along with their length in kilometers and miles.

1. NILE RIVER, AFRICA

In this list, the world's largest river Nile is in the first place. The length of the Nile River is 6650 kilometers i.e. 4132 miles. The two tributaries of the Nile are the White Nile and the Blue Nile. The Nile originates from Lake Victoria, Africa's largest, and drains into the Mediterranean Sea in the north, crossing the eastern part of the vast Sahara desert.

This river, which originates from the mountainous region of Sikang, joins the East China Sea.
