South Korea is known all over the world for its K-pop, K-drama, delicious food, skincare, hair care, etc. Kimchi, Samsung, automotive manufacturer Hyundai, Korean fried chicken, 12-step skincare, and Gangnam Style… Even if you don't know much about South Korea, you've definitely heard of some of these things, especially Samsung and automotive Manufacturer Hyundai.

If we talk about the dishes found in Korea, then kimchi, sweet pancakes, Korean fried chicken, and ddukbokki are eaten with great gusto all over the world. Even in India, many Korean restaurants have opened in some metro cities. Here is a list of South Korean Delicious Dishes that you must try at least once in your life. You can also try and make these recipes at your home.

1. KIMCHI

The relationship between Kimchi and Korea goes back a long way. Kimchi is known for its spicy taste, crispiness, and pungent smell. Let us tell you that it is a part of every Korean meal and without it the Korean meal is incomplete. To the people who are crazy about Korean food, I would say that if you have not eaten kimchi then what have you eaten? The taste of kimchi also varies depending on the fermentation process, ingredients, and season. Due to the fermentation process, most Korean food is not only delicious but also healthy. Kimchi is one of the oldest dishes in South Korea. This is the oldest recipe. Kimchi is a spicy and sour dish. It is made of carrot, radish, and cabbage. Made with a variety of ingredients, the most common kimchi ingredient is cabbage. If we talk about the most famous type of kimchi, then tongbaechu kimchi which is made from cabbage is very famous all over the world and the taste of this kimchi is more liked by the people. To make it, salt, sugar, chili powder, spring onion, ginger, garlic, and salted seafood are used in Napa cabbage and it is left to be fermented.

2. HOTTEOK

Hotteok is a sweet western pancake dish. It is also the second most popular dish in South Korea. Hotteok is a kind of street food, especially during the winter season. Hotteok is combined with cinnamon, honey, brown sugar, and peanuts and cooked on a griddle. Most Koreans would love to eat it in chilling weather and they also like to cook it as a special dish on many occasions.

3. BULGOGI

Bulgogi is a savory dish made with a mix of delicious ingredients like ground tofu, meat, green vegetables, etc. This grilled marinated beef, bulgogi is one of many beloved Korean meat dishes around the world. In 2011, American Food Vlogs ranked Bulgogi as the 23rd most delicious dish in the world. One can cook it by adding ingredients like garlic, chopped onions, lettuce, and beef, then wrap it in lettuce and enjoy the taste of bulgogi.

4. DDUKBOKKI

Ddukbokki is a spicy Korean food made from cylindrical rice cakes. It is a composition of rice, meat, green vegetable, and egg with added Korean chili paste. All these ingredients make a delicious Ddukbokki. Most Koreans make it on their special occasions.

5. GIMBAP

Gimbap is one of the most popular recipes for Korean street food. Which resembles a Japanese sushi roll. Generally, carrots, rice, yellow pickled radish, and spinach are used in kimbap, as well as Korean specialty meat wrapped in seaweed rolls. The rolls are cut into small cylindrical relish shapes and served with kimchi.

6. KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN

If we talk about fried chicken, then you must have heard about the popular Western chain KFC. But Korean fried chicken is different from the chicken in Western chains. A thin batter of cornstarch is used to make fried chicken in Korea so that the chicken becomes crispy. Korean fried chicken is fried not once but twice because by doing this the chicken absorbs less oil and the chicken becomes very soft from the inside.
