The blue light is called bioluminescent (light produced from the chemical energy of the algae). They say that this blue light is caused by algae called bioluminescent phytoplankton. When waves hit the shore, they convert chemical energy into electrical energy. During this process, it appears on the surface in blue color. It is also called sea sparkle or sea sparkle in simple words. The scientific name of the algae that produces the bioluminescent is Noctiluca scintillans. It belongs to the Phytoplankton species.
