After Thailand and Sri Lanka, now Malaysia has also made visa-free entry for Indian tourists. Citizens of India and China will get visa-free entry to Malaysia from December 01. This information was given by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday. Chinese and Indian citizens can stay visa-free in Malaysia for up to 30 days. Chinese and Indian citizens are also among those who got an exemption this year. Currently, Chinese and Indian citizens have to apply for a visa to enter Malaysia. Before the pandemic, 15 lakh people from China and 3 lakh 54 thousand 486 people from India had gone to Malaysia in the same period of 2019. This move by Malaysia has been implemented to boost its important tourism sector and stimulate its sluggish economy. Malaysia is doing this to support economic growth. If you go to Kuala Lumpur from India, the cost to and fro flights from cities like Chennai-Kolkata will be around Rs 12,000. Earlier, Sri Lanka and Thailand had also announced visa-free entry.

But even to land in countries that provide visa-free facilities, some necessary formalities have to be completed. Only then can one go to these countries. If these formalities are not completed then the green signal from the immigration side to take off from the home country, let alone reach these countries, will not be given. At present, there are more than 57 countries where Indians can visit without a visa. These countries either have visa-free entry or visa on arrival. Of these, 19 countries have provided visa-free entry facilities for Indians. But to go to these countries, some formalities are necessary which have to be completed.

Visa-free entry means that there is no need to obtain a visa online or offline before going to these countries. If we take Malaysia as an example, then visa-free entry in this country would mean that it is necessary for the tourist to have a passport to go here. It must be valid for at least six months after the date of a return ticket in the country of departure. The tourist will need a return flight ticket. Along with this, there should be complete data on hotel booking for staying there or any relative or family member with whom you will stay. According to that country, the tourist will have to maintain a minimum bank account. Statements of three or more months can also be seen in this.

You will be able to enter visa-free countries only after completing all these formalities, otherwise not. Another travel expert Rakesh Arora explains that visa-free entry means that there will be no need for a visa in your passport, but instead, there will be immigration stamping when you go to that country. This will happen both times, i.e., when the tourist enters that country and also when he leaves that country. Due to immigration stamping both times, the tourist will have the data of in-out of the country. In this, there will be no visa required and no visa fee will be required.
