MOST REVERED TEMPLES OF LORD HANUMAN
1. HANUMANGARHI, UTTAR PRADESH
The grand holy abode of Shri Hanuman ji which is
known by the name of Hanumangarhi is situated in Ayodhya. This temple is
situated on a high mound near Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. Where lord Hanuman is seen
after climbing 60 steps. A visit to Ayodhya is considered incomplete without
visiting the temple of Hanuman Ji.
2. BALAJI HANUMAN TEMPLE, RAJASTHAN
The idol of Hanuman ji with beard and mustache is known by the name of Salasar
wale Hanuman ji. This temple is located in Salasar village in the Churu
district of Rajasthan. It is believed that the devotees who visit Balaji Hanuman
Temple never go back broken-hearted and their wishes are undoubtedly fulfilled.
3. HANUMAN DANDI TEMPLE, GUJARAT
Betdwarka Hanuman Dandi Temple is situated at a
distance of four miles from Dwarka, in Gujarat. Actually, according to beliefs,
this is the same place where Hanuman Ji met his son for the first time. An idol
of Hanumanji is installed at this place along with his son Makar Dhwaj. People
say that earlier the idol of Makardhwaj established here was small but now both
these idols have become equally tall. This temple is famous for the name Dandi Hanuman Mandir.
4. SANKATMOCHAN TEMPLE, UTTAR PRADESH
Sankat Mochan Temple is situated in the south of
Varanasi city and it is a very miraculous temple of 'Balaji'. This temple is
also known as Vanar Mandir because there are a lot of monkeys around
this temple. According to the name, this temple is going to remove the troubles
of its devotees. It is believed that this temple was established when the great
poet Tulsidas first had a dream of Hanuman. Sankat Mochan Temple was
established by the poet Tulsidas. He was the author of the Ramcharitmanas, the
Awadhi version of the Ramayana composed by Valmiki.
5. MEHANDIPUR BALAJI, RAJASTHAN
This temple located in Mehandipur is about 65 km
from Jaipur in the Dausa district of Rajasthan. Devotees come from far and wide
to have the darshan of Mehandipur Balaji and to fulfill their wishes. It is said
that Mehndipur Dham is mainly known for people suffering from negative energy
and evil spirits. It is believed that people suffering from negative energy get
salvation here.
6. LETE HANUMAN, UTTAR PRADESH
This reclining statue of Hanuman ji is situated
on the Sangam bank in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. River Ganga comes every year to
bathe this 20 feet long statue. In the country and the world, where the water
level of the rivers is seen as a menace, the devotees of this temple see the
water level of the Ganga as auspicious. It is believed that the year Ganga ji
is unable to bathe Hanuman ji, she makes up for it by bathing him several times
in the next year.
