Dates: The Ziro Music Festival 2020 dates are yet to be announced. The festival is hosted by Apatani people of Ziro Valley.

Accommodation: Visitors can stay at tents near the festival ground at Hapoli or bring their own tents. There are also some basic lodges and homestays at a short distance from the venue.

Tickets: Tickets of Ziro Music Festival vary from Rs 3,000 to Rs 24,000 and can purchased from official website of Ziro Festival.

Entry Formalities For Ziro Music Festival

Since Arunachal Pradesh comes under a sensitive area, one needs to have official permission to enter it. These include:

ILP (Inline Permit)- Domestic travellers apart from a native of Arunachal Pradesh need ILP to enter any place in the state. One can get the ILP online which is issued by the Government Authorities of Arunachal Pradesh. T can also get acquired from its office in Delhi, Kolkata, Tezpur, Guwahati, Shillong, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur and Jorhat.

PAP (Protected Area Network)- all the foreigners are required to get a PAP before entering into Arunachal Pradesh. It can be obtained from all Foreigners Regional Registration Officers at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chief Immigration Officer, Chennai, Home Ministry, Government of India and Home Commissioner, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.

Artist lineup for the Ziro Music Festival 2019

The artist lineup for Ziro Valley Festival 2020 is yet to be announced but one can get a fair idea by looking at last year’s lineup which included – Khasi Bloods, Kroashia, Aswekeepsearching, Carolina Norbu, Burudu, Vivek Arora, Lateral, Kum Chirui, Attingkok, Sky Level, Reggae Rajahs, Damo Suzuki, The Kathmandu Killers, Alaska Snack Time, Alobo Naga and the Band, Bint El Funk, Rizal Abdulhadi, Jambili, Thaalavattam, Dhruv Visvanath, and Sofia Ashraf among others.

How To Reach Ziro Valley?

By road:

One can reach Ziro Valley from Guwahati. Hire a taxi from Guwahati or Jorhat (Approx 470 km) which will take up to 7 has to reach via NH27 and NH 15. For economic ride, government busses are also operated from Itanagar to Ziro at a very reasonable price of Rs 100 - Rs 200. 

By Air:

The closest airport to Ziro are Likabali and Tezpur but they are very unreliable when it comes to the flight schedule. It is recommended to fly from Guwahati Airport and then travel to Ziro via above mentioned conveyance.


By Rail:

Naharlagun is the closest railway station to Ziro which is situated at a travel time of about 3 hours. There are overnight trains from Guwahati to Ziro for your convenience.
