The secrets of Bhimkund are such that no one has been able to solve till date. Let's know where is it located and what is the secret behind it which surprises everyone.

HISTORY OF BHIMKUND

Bhimkund is located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. Apart from Bhimkund, this pool is also called Naradkund and Neelkund. This pool is hiding such strange mysteries within itself, which even prominent scientists of the country and abroad have not been able to solve till date. Bhimkund has constantly been the center of attraction for people because of its mysterious reasons, but there is no scientifically solid information available about when and how this mysterious pool was built. However, there are many mythological stories related to its construction. The most popular of these mythologies is a story from the Mahabharata period. It is said that it was built during the time of the Pandavas' exile in the Mahabharata period.

During their exile when they were passing through this area, Draupadi felt thirsty. After a lot of searching around by the Pandavas, no water was found. Then Bhima struck the land with his mace and broke many layers of the area, due to which water became visible. But the water source was close to the depth of about 30 feet from the earth's surface. Bhima asked Arjuna to make a path through the pool with his archery skills to reach the water source. Arjuna, on the advice of Bhima, built stairs to get to the pool on the strength of his archery, through which Draupathi could reach the water of the pool. Because Bhima created this pool by breaking the layers of the land with the hit of his mace, that is why this pool was named Bhimkund.

Bhimkund is situated between the rocks of the mountain. Its shape is like a mace, as well as its water looks very clear and transparent. There is also a feature of the water of this pool that it is as pure as the water of Mother Ganga and it also never gets spoiled. The most surprising thing about this pool is that its water level has never decreased till date. The researchers tried for years to empty this pool but they did not succeed in it. Its water level does not drop even an inch. Also, Scientists have not even been able to estimate the depth of this pool till date. To find out its depth, scientists associated with Discovery Channel also came with their diving team. Several divers were brought down in this pool to explore its depth. Even after going several meters deep into the water, he could not see the surface of this pool. How deep this pool is, it is not known till date.

It is said that this pool gives an indication of any natural calamity coming in India. It is said that before any natural calamity comes, the water level of this pool rises. During the tsunami in the year 2004, the water level of this pool also increased. It is a mystery as to why the water level rises before any natural disaster strikes. Another surprising thing related to this pool is that the dead body of the person who drowned in it is never found. Usually, when a person drowns in water, after some time the body starts floating on the surface of the water, but whoever is immersed in this pool the body has never come out till date.
