STORY OF GURU PURNIMA
The festival
of Guru Purnima is dedicated to Maharishi Vedvyas. Maharishi Ved Vyas ji, who
recited Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas, has been considered as the first Guru of
mankind. It is believed that Maharishi Ved Vyas was born about 3000 AD from
today. Maharishi Vedvyas ji was born on the full moon date of Ashadh Shukla
Paksha and every year the festival of Guru Purnima is celebrated on the full
moon day of Ashadh Shukla Paksha. That's why many people worship the picture of
Maharishi Vedvyas on this day. It is believed that on this day Maharishi Ved
Vyas ji first gave the knowledge of Bhagwat Gita to his disciples and sages.
Guru Purnima is also known as Vyas Purnima. According to the scriptures,
Maharishi Ved Vyas ji is considered to be the knower of all three times.
Divided into four Vedas of the Hindu religion. Maharishi Vedvyas ji composed
Shrimad Bhagwat and composed eighteen Puranas.

on this day, give gifts to them and touch their feet and receive the blessings
of the Guru. Many people whose guru has passed away worship the feet of their
guru. Some people celebrate the festival of Guru Purnima in Muhurta. Waking up
early in the morning, taking a bath after retiring from daily activities. After
taking a bath, after worshiping Lord Vishnu, Shankar, and Brihaspati, worship Vyas
ji. On this day, wearing white or yellow clothes, the picture of our Guru is
kept in the north direction. Aarti and worship are performed by garlanding the
Guru's picture, offering food and after that, the Guru's blessings are received
by touching his feet.
