TREKKING PLACES IN INDIA
In today's
time, adventure sports are becoming increasingly popular among the youth, especially
trekking. India is counted among the best trekking destinations in the world. There

relaxing moments by staying close to nature. Be it Himachal Pradesh or North
India, there are many such places where tourists like to go for trekking. In
India, where on one side you will see the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas,
on the other side you will see the plains of the Western Ghats and the rugged
plateaus of Goa and Andaman. If we talk about North East, then it would not be
an exaggeration to say that this North East part of India is a paradise for

WHAT IS TREKKING?
There are
two types of trekking in India, the first is done on hills that pass through
rocky paths, while the second is done on hill stations that are snowy. Yes, it
is sure that both these types of trekking are adventurous and full of natural
scenery.
1. KANGCHENJUNGA PEAK
This peak
falling in Sikkim is covered with snow throughout the year. You can reach your
destination by passing through Kangchenjunga National Park. The whole route is
covered in snow, you will enjoy coming here in summer. The best time is from
April to June and from September to November. Overall, the trekking here is breathtaking
for 15 to 20 kilometers, which hardly anyone wants to miss.
2. FLOWER VALLEY
It is
located in the Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand. This is a national
park full of spectacular scenery, where millions of different varieties of
flowers grow. The best time to visit is when it is raining or after the rainy
season, don't get lost in the colorful atmosphere there. Trekking up to about
60 kilometers this place is one of the world's leading treks and every
trekker's dream. It is also known as the Valley of Flowers, which has been
included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
3. RAJMACHI
Trekking in Rajmachi
has its own experience. This place is in the Lonavala region of Maharashtra and is
completely surrounded by mountains. Here you can do group trekking. This track
is the best destination for adventure lovers. After going here, you will forget
the treks of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
4. KULLU VALLEY
Located in
the state of Himachal Pradesh, this valley is mainly known for river rafting as
well as trekking. Starting from the famous village Hampta here, the total 40 km
trek to Lahaul-Spiti has many places of natural beauty. You will be drowned in
the fragrance of wildflowers, the dense forest of deodar along with the plain and
rocky path at a distance. You can visit here from May to November.
5. GOICHA LA
Goicha La,
located in Sikkim, is known for its beauty. From here you can relax by watching
the Himalayan peaks and the sunrise over Kangchenjunga. Trekking enthusiasts
reach Goicha La every year and enjoy it a lot. In such a situation, if you are
also planning to trek, then you can visit this place.
6. PARASHAR RIVER
Parashar
River is the least popular of the Himalayan Tracks but this place is most known
for its natural beauty. Parashar river is located on Dhauladhar hill. The
most special thing about this river is that it flows not in one but in many
colors, that is, the water of this river is colorful. This river got its name
after the name of the sage Parashar. Sage Parashar meditated at this place. Here
you can learn about the local fauna and the local culture. The pleasant weather
here also attracts trekkers.
7. KODACHADRI
Kodachadri trek
is located in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. The natural beauty and mountains
spread far and wide here will win your heart. You will have a lot of fun while
trekking here. Trekkers come here from October to January
8. ARAKU VALLEY
Araku Valley
Track in Andhra Pradesh is a very famous trek. Trekking here is quite an
adventure therefore, trekkers must visit this place once. You will see greenery
all around here. Built on the Eastern Ghats, this track is spread over an area
of about 36 km. Trekkers can visit here from October to February.
9. KEDARNATH
Kedarnath is
one of the most beautiful Himalayan mountains, known for its majestic beauty
and camping sites. If you are thinking of traveling somewhere during winter
then Kedarnath is the best option. On the top of Kedarnath, you get to see such
a beautiful view which you would have never seen anywhere in your life. The
snow-clad plains here mesmerize the tourists.
10. LONAVALA
Located in
Maharashtra, Lonavala which is a hill station, trekking of about 13 to 17
kilometers can be done in Rajmachi. Trekking to reach this famous fort passes
through a difficult and rocky path, which is very picturesque. This fort was
established by Veer Shivaji, you can visit here from April to October.
