Heights of the golden past have started peeping from the plains of Bandhavgarh. In the archaeological survey started on April 1, the team found 1500 years old rock paintings and remains of modern civilization two thousand years ago in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh. On which the Department of Archeology says that the finding of these remains here confirms that the area of tigers also used to be a part of the old trade route.

The survey work of the Archaeological Department was going on here from April 1 to June 30 under the leadership of Shivakant Vajpayee, Superintendent Engineer of Jabalpur Circle of Archaeological Survey of India. Meanwhile, in the Tala core zone of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, the second season survey of Jabalpur Archaeological Department includes two large cylindrical stupas, 11 caves and 4 water bodies, and a painted cave attached to them. Apart from this, 1500 years old rock paintings, and remains of modern civilization two thousand years ago have also been found.

The height of one stupa is 15 and the other is 18 feet. These have been told from the 6th to the 8th century. The base and upper part of the cylindrical stupa are present in the complete form including the Harnika. It is possible that there was a statue of Lord Buddha in it. Experts say that Buddhist monks will have to come and go here. Caves must have been made for them. It is likely to emerge as an important stop in the Buddhist circuit passing through Madhya Pradesh. The special thing is that this happened for the first time when rock painting has been found in the Umaria district surrounded by forests, that too 1500 years old. At present, the Department of Archeology has taken this petting under its control, it is being told that the picture of an animal has been shown in the petting, and it will be studied soon, in which more information can be revealed. Survey officer Shivakant Vajpayee says that this petting cut has been found in the cave, which means it must have been made from stone or some sharp thing.

The special thing is that in the survey of the Indian Archaeological Department last year, 26 ancient temples, 46 sculptures, 26 rock caves, two Buddhist stupas, and 19 water sources were also found in Bandhavgarh. ASI Superintendent Engineer Shivakant Bajpai said the goal of the exploration is to scientifically document the archaeological remains scattered in the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. With this discovery, Bandhavgarh can also emerge as the site of the Buddhist circuit. Archaeologists say that after the study the situation regarding historicity will be clear.
