Spain and Slovakia to Grant Gratis Visa to Indian Travellers

Were you planning to visit Spain and Slovakia? Did you already apply for a visa there? Was your travel plan cancelled due to the pandemic? Fret not, there's some good news for you. Spain and Slovakia have announced gratis visas for Indian travellers who had applied for a visa before they travel ban to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic. The embassies of the two countries will not charge you an extra amount for reissuing the visa once international tourism restarts.

Travel restart in disarray as world sees a second surge of coronavirus

The unlock plans of the world has in disarray as the second wave of coronavirus spread takes over the world. Many countries in Asia have imposed new restrictions on travel, and Britain too has announced sudden quarantine rules for travellers from Spain. In the United States as well as the number of people who have caught the virus is continuously rising.

Unlock 2: The states that allow interstate travel without e-pass

Lockdown 6 - Unlock 2 has been enforced from July 1, 2020. According to the guidelines enforced by the Home Ministry, interstate travel will not require an e-pass or separate permit. But due to the rising threat of coronavirus in certain states like Assam, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the state governments here have restricted the movement of people and goods in certain hotspots other than the containment zones. But there are other states that have permitted inter state movement without the e-pass.

Indian Railway cancels trains till 30th June, know the guidelines for refund

IRCTC has cancelled all booking of regular trains, Shramik and special trains excluded, up till 30th June due to the coronavirus pandemic. The railway will refund the full amount of the ticket to everyone who had booked the tickets. The Shramik and Special passenger trains will continue operations as planned. As per the railways, the refund will be provided to those with effect from 21st March. The railway board issued an order on 13th May that included waiting list provision on the special passenger trains from 22nd May. 

Passenger train operations resume, here's everything you need to know

On Sunday, Railways have announced that they will slowly restart the operations of passenger trains on 12th May. The railway services had been suspended for almost two months due to the lockdown that was enforced to contain the spread of coronavirus. The decision to resume passenger train operations was taken on Saturday in a meeting of Cabinet Secretary and the government, both central and states. The sources also told the media that the final draft was prepared on Sunday evening. Railways have provided various services throughout the lockdown. They have operated as freight trains and Shramik trains to help the ones in need during the coronavirus crisis.
