Unique Places around the world named after Alphabets

Do you too wonder how the people before us came up with the names of all the cities, states and countries? I do. Sometimes when I have nothing to overthink, I wonder why India? And all the efforts it must've taken to name the places. But at some point, they must have gotten tired and named a few places just after an English alphabet. So, head out and start travel like you started studying, with the ABCs.
Here is a list of few single letter places that you should add to your travel bucket list.
Å, Norway

It is a widely known and accepted fact that Lofoten Islands are one the most scenic, serene and captivating places in Norway. Enjoying sunlight 24 hours at some days, these islands are the most picturesque fishing villages. At the southern tip of this island is Å with a population of 150. Å. pronounced as aw is a Norwegian alphabet. It is named after a small river and is reminiscent of a preserved village. Å, with its shoreline dotted with fishing huts, is a picture-perfect destination.
Bee, USA
Bee is located in the Seward County of Nebraska, with a population of around 200. It is a small farming village, with little but enough for everyone that lives there. It has a bar, famous for its fried fish and a post office. Bee also has a catholic church and a historic ballroom. You can experience the small-town American lifestyle in its true form at Bee.
E, Scotland
E is a river that flows into the south-east of Loch Ness through the highlands of Scotland. Originating in north-west Monadh Liath, the E river travels about 10km in the same direction. This river has one of the shortest names among rivers around the world. It also has a hydroelectric scheme.
Ø, Denmark
Ø in Danish means ‘island’, But this Ø we’re referring to here is so not one. It does look like a landlocked island surrounded by meadows on every side, making it serene and scenic place to be. It is located in the Nørreå valley in the east half of Jutland. This little place is famous for the views and of course its short name.
U, Micronesia

Also written ‘Uh’, U is a subdivision in the Federal States of Micronesia, in the Pohnpei state. It holds the status of the shortest name in Micronesia, and one of the shortest in the world. The main island of Pohnpei has six municipalities, and U is one of them.
Y, France

Y, pronounced “ee,” is a commune in northern France. About 50km Amiens, Y is set in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France. The people of Y have named themselves after the Greek letter Upsilon, which looks like the English letter Y.
