Additional steps taken by the Government

In the announcement, Vishwajit Rane also said that, though all the patients of COVID-19 in Goa have been cured, the state has no plans of lifting the restrictions. To be extra careful, the State Government is planning to improve testing amenities. At state borders and industrial estates, they will place around 10 fast track testing booths. And following the Epidemic Act, masks will be mandatory in all public places.

Goa could be a green zone by 17 April

According to the CM of Goa, as no new cases of the pandemic have been reported within the state, Goa could be labelled as a green zone by 17 April. The few cases reported positive in South Goa are recovering, hence this part of the state can already be called a safe zone.
