Travel movies to satisfy your wanderlust during lockdown

The Grand Budapest Hotel

An amazing film that tells you a story of a writer, Gustave H, who meets the owner of the high class hotel, the movie is named after, in the Republic of Zubrowska, which does not really exist. They get into talking and become best friends. Zero Moustafa narrates the writer his story of how from a lobby boy he became the owner of this A class restaurant. The Grand Budapest Hotel takes you through the picturesque landscapes of Saxony and its beautiful capital Dresden.
Eat, Pray, Love

A beautiful romantic comedy, that circles around the life of Elizabeth Gilbert, a woman whose world comes crashing down after her divorce. To rediscover herself, she takes a journey around the world. So sit back on your couch and accompany Elizabeth while she goes out to explore the picturesque nature of Bali, stunning architecture of Rome and the mesmerising beauty of India. It will definitely help you feel refreshed by the time credits roll.
Into the Wild

One of my favourite adventure dramas of all times, Into the Wild tells you the story of Christopher, a young graduate, who drops off everything and goes hitchhiking through Alaska. On his way, Christopher meets all kinds of people with their own different stories, that help him become a new individual. This movie represents what travel is to most of us. Meeting new people and learning new things, and mostly about making memories.
Before Sunrise

A dream love story of an American traveller, Jesse, who on his trip in Europe meets Celine, a beautiful French woman. The two meet on a train and an instant chemistry builds between the two, once they get into talking. The two decide to get off in Vienna. The two grow fond of each other, spending time together, sharing stories and discovering love, doing it all before sunrise. A twelve hour affair shown in a 1 and half hour long movie, takes you to the best spots around Vienna. The movie's success was well proven by its two sequels.
The Bucket List
A movie with a message that we all can relate to right now, that life is short and we never know when it might come to a halt and there is no time to wait for the perfect time to do what we have always wanted because the perfect time may never actually come. It revolves around two old men suffering from chronic cancer, who escape the hospital to tick all the destinations they had wanted to visit. Take this trip with them, you'll explore the most beautiful places and learn an important lesson.
