Rules interstate travellers going to Assam or Bihar must know
If you are looking forward to travel to the states – Assam and Bihar, here are some important rules and regulations for travellers that you need to know.
Assam
The state has had 4,094 total cases with the death toll of 8. The state has made 7 days institutional quarantine compulsory for all passengers coming to the state. The people who can be exempted from this rule are pregnant women, elderly persons above 75 years, people attending a funeral, children below 10 years of age, disabled individuals and people with a preexisting health issue. After the completion of institutional quarantine, every passenger must self quarantine themselves at home for 7 days. Passengers must fill a declaration form prescribed by the state, upon arrival.
Bihar
Bihar has reported a total of 6,470 cases, out of which 4,170 have recovered with a death toll of 39. 14 days of home quarantine is compulsory for every asymptomatic passenger coming to the state. Migrant labours from 11 districts namely Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida, Kolkata, Gurugram and Bengaluru will be kept in quarantine camps.
