Japanese theme park to give free passes to visitors who win this challenge
The Fuji-Q Highland theme park, near Tokyo in Japan made an unusual request to its patrons when it reopened a month ago. The Japanese theme park asked them to not scream as that would spread the germs through droplets from people’s mouths. The request seems a bit unrealistic as it is natural for some visitors to fear the high speed or shrieking when the ride takes a drop from height adds to the thrill.
The social media challenge started by the theme park
So to ensure the abidance of the rule, the theme park has introduced an interesting challenge. The park decided that patrons would need a little something in order to follow the rule. They introduced a social media challenge in which the visitors will have to upload funny or best videos of them not screaming on the ride. The ones who are able to do it win free day passes to the park.
The riders can upload their videos with hashtags #KeepASeriuosFace or #SmileFace showing how they stayed calm when the roller coaster took dangerous turns and spins at a high speed.
The visitors have started uploading their videos
To motivate the visitors, the theme park uploaded a video on YouTube of two executives riding the roller coaster with a calm expression, not reacting to any twists and turns the ride takes. Though the expression looks serious but as the riders cannot keep the thrill out of their eyes, the people who watched the video found it quite hilarious.
The park visitors have also started posting their videos and the challenge will continue till July 17. After that the park will decide the winners of the challenge.
