Unlock 2.0: Travel related Guidelines issued by the Government

Unlock 2.0 guidelines have been issued by the Home Ministry on June 29, 2020. The new guidelines related to travel in areas other than the containment zone has also been renewed. The Unlock 2.0 will be enforced from Wednesday, July 1. All the states have been requested to strictly comply with guidelines and restrictions put forth by the Central Government of India.
No passes anymore for interstate travel in unlock 2.0
The Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has instructed all the Chief Secretaries of all the state and union territories that there will be no hindrance in the intra and interstate movement of people or goods. He also added that no separate permits or passes will be required for entering any state.
The lockdown will still be strictly followed in the containment zones till July 31. Strict perimeter controls and enforcement of containment will be followed in these areas based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The movement restrictions outside the containment zone can be enforced by the state government as per the requirements within the state. The train services will be expanded.
No commercial international flights before July 15
The reopening has also caused some speculation that, with this unlock, the commercial international travel will also restart. To put these speculations at rest the Director General of Civil Aviation has announced that all international travel will be suspended till July 15. It was also added that flights to certain destinations will be allowed only after consideration.
In the same announcement, DGCA also claimed that this decision will not affect the cargo flights or the Vande Bharat Mission special flights. The domestic flights will also continue with the required precautions and limited passengers. The domestic flights will also be expanded.
