Rules all flyers arriving at the Mumbai airport must know

The Central Government of India gave domestic air travel a green flag on May 25, 2020. But even with all the precautions, airlines are taking, they have failed to convince the people that it is okay to fly. The rising number of cases is also fueling the paranoia. The fear of the pandemic is not the only reason why people are not travelling, the different rules in every different state is a major reason too. While now most states do not have very strict quarantine rules, some states like Maharashtra where the virus seems uncontainable, they're forced to put strict quarantine rules for travellers coming from different states.
So if you are heading to Mumbai any time soon and taking an air trip, here are the quarantine and other guidelines you must keep yourself updated with.
For International Travellers
1. All travellers who reach the airport via Vande Bharat Mission flights must undergo 7 days institutional quarantine and 7 days of home quarantine; if they do not have a connecting flight to any other state and exit the airport.
2. If a traveller has to go out of Mumbai to another city via road, they too must undergo 7 days institutional quarantine and 7 days home quarantine before taking the road journey, as they would be leaving the airport.
3. People taking a connecting flight from Mumbai to another state must stay inside the premises of the airport till the boarding time of their second flight and must be aware of the quarantine rules of the state they're headed.
4. If any traveller arrives in the city through a flight other than the ones used for Vande Bharat Mission, the same rules would be applicable for them.
For Domestic Travellers
1. If any traveller arrives in the city from any state, they can exit the airport but will have to undergo 14 days home quarantine.
2. If a traveller will not be staying in Mumbai for more than 7 days, they will not have to undergo any quarantine. But they are required to submit details of their trip in Mumbai to the authorities.
3. If a person is arriving at the airport but has a connecting flight to some other state, there's no quarantine rule for them.
4. In case a traveller arrives in Mumbai through a domestic flight but has to board a Vande Bharat Mission flight, there will be no quarantine for them if they do not leave the airport.
Common rules all must know
All travellers arriving at the Mumbai Airport must have the Aarogya Setu app installed in their phone and must submit a self-declaration form upon arrival. Every passenger will undergo thermal scanning and will be stamped on their left hand.
